The new ZKA 100 Line sensor from Electronic Solutions Inc. is a compact, self contained CAD scanner. The sensor is designed around a CCD array of 2000 pixels arranged in a single line.
The sensor is designed to operate in one of four modes:
Width Measurement: The sensor can make a go/no go decision based on the width of any object. The voltage output is proportional to the width of the object.
Position measurement: The position of the object is measured in relation to a selectable reference point.
Counting: The sensor counts the number of objects in its field of view. The output is proportional to the number of objects counted.
Contour Monitoring: The brightness characteristics of the object are monitored. The output is activated when the actual value deviates from the preset reference characteristics.

Easy to set up, the sensor utilizes Window based software for the initial setup. Once programmed, the sensor can provide a PNP output, analog output (0-10VDC) and RS232 communication.
