| Consisting of a transmitter and a receiver, the COMPACT system is available as both a light curtain and a light grid. Patented data transfer procedures and fail-safe semi-conductor outputs guarantee fault-free as well as maintenance-free operation. In order to safeguard interconnected sensing zones, master and slave units can be connected in succession. | Due to their high enclosure rating (IP 67), their ambient operating temperature range of -25°C to + 55°C, and their integrated optics heating system, the light grids in the ROBUST series are particularly well-suited for the perimeter guarding of areas with hostile ambient conditions. The two- and four-beam systems RRT 42 and RRT 44 consist of an active transmitter/receiver unit as well as a passive deflective mirror unit PM 2 or PM 4. The three-beam system comprises two active components, transmitter RT 43 and receiver RR 43. | The AREAL is a multi-beam safety light barrier for the perimeter guarding of danger zones. The receiver is equipped with fail-safe semiconductor outputs, and additional functions such as restart interlock and protection control are integrated. In addition, the AREAL-M version includes a muting function. The sensors required for distinguishing between people and goods to be conveyed can be connected directly to the receiver. | The single-channel safety light barrier SLS 78/R consists of a transmitter and a receiver. Like the ROBUST grid system, this light barrier is designed for operation in hostile ambient conditions. By means of the deflective mirrors US 1 and US 2, multi-axis safeguards can be realized for a wide range of applications. | |

| KONTUR is a product family of measuring light curtains with resolutions of 15, 25 or 45 mm. The system comprises a transmitter, a receiver and a control unit. The control unit can be flexibly adapted to each particular measurement task by means of a parameter field in the program memory. In addition to conditioning the measurement values, the control unit also serves as an interface to the end-user's control system. The measurement data are output in binary format via a parallel opto-coupler interface. | The SCAN measuring light curtain consists of a transmitter and a receiver (cross section just 17X33 mm). the receiver can be connected directly to the serial interface of Siemens S7 controls. Upon receiving the light curtain data, an S7 driver program stores them in the PLC memory for further processing as required by the specific application. | Service The proper implementation of optoelectronic devices requires sound technical knowledge and thorough familiarity with current safety regulations. As an active participant in national and European safety committees, Leuze lumiflex is consistently up-to-date on safety technology. We support our customers in all matters regarding the installation and integration of our protective devices, even including risk assessment in accordance with EN 1050:1997. In addition, as a part of our range of services we perform technical safety checks of the installation and electrical integration of the protective device prior to initial start-up, as well as annual inspection and maintenance. In accordance with ISO 9000, the conducted test procedures and the faultless device function are certified in a written inspection report and on an inspection plaque. Upon request, we will train your employees to become experts on our equipment. Participants in training sessions receive instruction on the relevant safety norms and device technology.
